The Eredivisie Becomes the first European to End its Season
On 24 April 2020, the royal Dutch football federation (KNVB) called an end to the 2019-2020 football season. Therefore, the highest echelon of professional football in the Netherlands, the Eredivisie, became the first European league to terminate its season due to the coronavirus crisis.
