During the second leg of the 2018-2019 CAF Champions League final on 31 May 2019 in Tunisia (the match), the VAR system was not working. After the match officials annulled a goal scored by Wydad against Tunisian side Espérance de Tunis, the Moroccan club protested for ninety minutes said decision and refused to play as long as the VAR system remained unavailable.
