On 9 February 2023, A22 Sports Management (A22), a company that intends to develop new European football competitions, released a document headlined "Ten Principles for a European Football League" (enclosed). The said document describes the alleged necessary steps towards reforming football in the European continent, according to A22. It should be noted that the publication of this document has triggered many reactions within the football industry.
A22 released, on 9 February 2023, the preliminary results of a comprehensive dialogue with European football stakeholders on the future of club football. It is stated that A22 and its CEO Mr Bernd Reichart have discussed with nearly 50 European clubs and stakeholders. According to Mr Reichart:
