Under the specificity of sport, a club that attempts to falsify evidence can be brought to pay an increased compensation to a player who had terminated his contract with just cause.

Facts/Procedure

On 14 January 2010, Mr Atz (the Player or the Appellant) and Chernomorets Burgas (the Club or the Respondent) entered into an employment agreement valid until 30 June 2012.

Following an injury incurred by the Player, the Club suspended the payment of the Player’s salaries. The Player’s salary was, however, apparently paid by the Bulgarian state authorities between July and December 2010.

After the Player recovered from his injury, the Club resumed the payment of the Player’s salary, with the first payment being made on 17 January 2011. After this first...
