On 18 July 2019, CAS confirmed a sanction imposed by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee on Mr Jibril Rajoub, President of the Palestinian Football Association, who was fined and banned for one-year for inciting hatred and violence.

Facts and Procedure

 

On 29 May 2018, FIFA approved an application filed by the Israel Football Association (IFA) to play an international friendly match between the representative teams of Israel and Argentina. The match was scheduled to take place on 9 June 2018 in Jerusalem, Israel.
