The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) dismissed the appeal of Persepolis FC against Leandro Marcos Pereira, confirming FIFA’s decision in FPSD-12243, rendered on 18 April 2024, which held the club liable for outstanding salaries and a contractual penalty for delayed payment. The Panel found that Persepolis FC was responsible for fulfilling its financial obligations under the Second Termination Agreement, rejecting the club’s argument that FIFA’s role as a facilitator absolved it from direct liability.
