On 27 January 2022, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) released a media statement reacting to the publication of two reports of the WADA Independent Observers relating to the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020. The said reports issued a series of recommendations concerning the Anti-Doping Division of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS ADD) for future Olympic Games.

On 20 January 2022, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) published two reports by its Independent Observer Team assessing the organization’s role and all anti-doping activities during the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Summer Games.
