Clément, could you introduce yourself?
I am a Law Enforcement officer with the French Gendarmerie. I have been dealing with organized crime in different types of units. From 2010 till 2014, I was seconded to the INTERPOL General Secretariat. I was in charge of doping issues, but also involved with the international coordination of corruption case in sport.
I also hold a PhD in criminology.
Do you agree with the above introduction? Any objection or comments?
Sport is a great challenge for mankind: it promotes effort and respect, it changes individual energies to collective energies, and it brings together women and men around universal values beyond cultures, religions and conflicts. Meanwhile, as any other human activity, sport has a dark face. Indeed, sport is particularly vulnerable in terms of integrity. But I think the problem of corruption in sport is definitely not only a match-fixing problem; it is much broader....
