
On Tuesday, 14 March 2023, the 23rd FIFA Council meeting took place in Kigali, Rwanda’s capital city, ahead of the 73rd FIFA Congress of 16 March 2023. Several key decisions were made, including the approval of the Men’s and Women’s International Match Calendars (IMCs), the final format of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, additional transfer market reforms and the creation of a dedicated task force on player welfare.
