European Football Associations Show Concerns about Playing in Russia

On 24 February 2022, amidst ongoing military hostilities in Ukraine led by Russian forces, three football associations are concerned about their safety as they have to play matches in Russia during the March 2022 International Window.

The national representative teams of the Czech Republic, Poland and Sweden will have to travel to Russia in order to take part in the UEFA second round of the qualification tournament for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the so-called UEFA playoffs.
