FIFA Ethics Committee Decision Banning Yves Jean-Bart

The FIFA Independent Ethics Committee banned Mr Jean-Bart, President of the Haitian Football Association (FHF), for life concerning acts of sexual harassment and abuse against various female football players, including minors, during the period 2014-2020.

Facts and Procedure

 

On 25 May 2020, the Investigatory Chamber of the FIFA Ethics Committee provisionally banned Mr Yves Jean-Bart - the man who has led the FHF for more than 20 years and served as acting President of the Caribbean Football Union in 2011 - for 90 days from taking part in all football-related activities, according to Articles 84 (conditions, jurisdiction and procedure) and 85 (duration) of the FCE. The ban, which was effective from 25 May 2020,
