Vanuatu’s football underwent a major shift toward professionalisation in 2026. The Vanuatu Football Federation (VFF), together with private interests, established Vanuatu FC, which joined the inaugural Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Professional League (which started in January 2026), making it the country’s first professional sports club. The move aligned Vanuatu football more closely with the professional frameworks of the OFC and FIFA.
More significantly, the VFF moved to professionalise its club ecosystem, whereby its first division clubs are now responsible for preparing and submitting their own player transfer and registration documents.
Consequently, during the VFF league official transfer window, which ran from 15 January 2026 to 12 February 2026, clubs and member associations who engaged in player movements had to collect official transfer forms...
