The Michel Platini affair is experiencing new developments. UEFA’s former President, Michel Platini, has filed a lawsuit in France. He intends to show that former FIFA officials conspired to ban him from all football-related activity.
As a reminder, in 2015, the FIFA Ethics Committee judging chamber[1] and the FIFA Appeals Committee[2] suspended Michel Platini, then UEFA President, from all national and international football-related activities for six years and fined him CHF 80,000 (about EUR 72,500).
The behaviour initially sanctioned by the FIFA Ethics Committee was related to Michel Platini’s payment of USD 2 million (approx. EUR 1.75 million)...
