How has the Football Federation Australia (FFA) responded to having to implement the FIFA working with intermediary regulations (RWI) by 1 April 2015?

On 25 March 2015, the FFA finally released its Regulations on Working with Intermediaries (FFA IR) to all licensed player agents, clubs and other stakeholders. The FFA decided to solely implement the FIFA minimum intermediary standards and not incorporate any further regulations or standards required by Australian national law. This was a surprise for AFAA, the leading player agent organisation in Australia, as the FFA has had national regulations for licensed player agents in place previously namely the Football Federation Australia Player Agent Regulations dated 19 July 2007 (FFA Agent regulations)[1].
