National Implementations of the FIFA Regulations on Working with Intermediaries (RWI) - ISRAEL

On 1 April 2015, exactly the date on which the new set of Regulations on Working with Intermediaries came into force on an international level, the Executive Committee of the Israel Football Association (IFA) confirmed and approved same Regulations to be included in IFA's Regulations, thereby replacing the old Players' Agents Regulations. The new Regulations came into force immediately and are therefore already in force also on national level in Israel.

Ever since the publication of FIFA's circular letter no. 1417 of 30 April 2014 and of the Regulations themselves, the Legal Department of the IFA went through a lengthy process which included the following steps:

a) Translating the Regulations into Hebrew;

b) Assessing and examining the Regulations in the framework of the general Israel legislation so as to avoid any possible conflict or inconsistency between the...
