FIFA's New Regulations on Working with Intermediaries (the FIFA RWI), which came into force just recently on 1 April 2015, oblige national associations to implement and enforce their own regulations towards intermediaries[1]. To comply with its duties under the FIFA RWI, the Swiss Football Association (SFA) enacted on 11 April 2015 its own Regulations on Working with Intermediaries (Reglement zur Arbeit mit Vermittlern, hereinafter the SFA Regulations).
This article focuses on SFA Regulations. In addition, and to give a short overview of the regulation of the work activity of intermediaries in Switzerland in general, other relevant provisions under Swiss Law shall also be highlighted. Therefore, before examining the SFA Regulations, we will look at relevant provisions of Swiss private and public law, in particular, the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO)...
