New Cases Involving the VAR in Germany

In recent matches, several controversial refereeing decisions involved the VAR.
 

SV Wehen Wiesbaden vs. Dynamo Dresden

1. On 8 November 2019, the second league match between Dynamo Dresden (Dresden) and SV Wehen Wiesbaden (Wehen) took place.

Dresden’s right-winger was sprinting on the right wing, trying to reach the ball before the sideline, close to the penalty area of Wehen, and played the ball (from or beyond the sideline) backwards close before Wehen’s goal, where a Wehen defender stopped the ball with his breast and dropped it from there to another Wehen defender, who was placed behind him.

From there, Wehen started an attack, involving 5 or 6 players within a period of about 18 seconds, that led to a perfectly scored goal for Wehen.
