Since this year’s professionalization of female football in Argentina, the AFA and the player’s union began the process of adapting the existing CBA to the specialties of female football, in particular to pregnancy.
On 16 October 2019, an agreement was reached, introducing the following rights and obligation for pregnant players (in addition to the rights already in place for pregnancy as provided for in national general labor laws) to the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA):
