In early August 2022, the CONMEBOL Disciplinary Unit published its latest disciplinary decisions, sanctioning two clubs after a CONMEBOL-organized fixture. The aforementioned decisions were taken on 5 and 8 August 2022.
The CONMEBOL Disciplinary Unit sanctioned two clubs participating in CONMEBOL-organized competitions. They were found guilty of breaching several CONMEBOL provisions during a Copa Libertadores match opposing each other. The resulting sanctions are explained in detail below.
