Regulatory threats to minor football players in Romania

As harsh as this introductory statement might sound, today in 2017, one cannot say that the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) protects minor football players.

The reason for it is that the regulations have remained frozen in a sort of pre-Bosman era were clubs have the prerogative to block the career of the youngest players at their own volition, sanctioning players who refuse to sign for them.
