The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has just introduced new national football agent regulations that will serve as a means to implement the FIFA Football Agents Regulations (FFAR) in Spain. However, a recent lawsuit and pending preliminary ruling from the Court of Justice of the European Union do not allow the complete application of the RFEF Agents Regulations yet.
On 30 November 2023, the new RFEF Agents Regulations entered into force following the FIFA-published model for national football associations to adopt the FFAR quickly - the latest model dates from June 2023.
