RFEF Joins Rogue Clubs in CVC Lawsuit

On 3 February 2022, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced that it had joined the lawsuit against LaLiga’s deal with private equity and investment advisory firm CVC Partners. The lawsuit is led by FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao, which did not ratify the CVC deal.

On 3 February 2022, the RFEF informed the Spanish football family that it would seek the annulment of the commercial agreement reached by LaLiga and private equity firm CVC Partners.  According to the RFEF, the agreement will cause incalculable damage to Spanish football.
