The Swiss Federal Tribunal (SFT) rejected the appeal in civil matters against an award issued on 7 June 2023 by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which ruled on the rejection of an appeal against a decision of the FIFA Football Tribunal. Ultimately, the SFT did not find the Appellant’s argument to be valid grounds to set aside the CAS award. FECAFOOT has now been definitively ordered to pay its former national coach Antonio Conceição Da Silva Oliveira a total sum of more than EUR 1.6 million.

Facts and Procedure
