According to a decision dated 3 March 2014, the Swiss Federal Tribunal, which had been seized by an action brought by the French club of FC Nantes, confirmed the conviction given by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on 2 July 2013. The CAS sanctioned the French club by the payment of 4.5 million euro by way of damages to the club of Al Nasr and by a transfer ban during two full transfer windows, as a result of the unilateral breach without just cause of the contract between Al Nasr and the player Ismaël Bangoura during a protected period.
In September 2010, the Ghanaian professional football player left the French club of Stade Rennais FC to play for the Emirati club of Al Nasr Sports Club. The amount of the transfer fee was fixed to 7 million euro.
