The Ethics Committee of the Hellenic Football Federation (HFF) convicted several Greek clubs of the Super League 1 for violating the Ethics Code. The sanction was imposed on all clubs that had voted in favor of Mr Gkagkatsis and particularly in favor of him holding his position as Managing Director of Super League despite the fact that he had been indicted for embezzlement by the Greek justice system.
During 2016 and despite the fact that there was a final indictment against Mr Gkagkatsis for embezzlement to the grade of felony, Super League (currently Super League 1) hired him as its managing director and, in doing so, violated Article 3 of Law no. 2725/1999...
