Several inconsistencies were found by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in laboratory data obtained from the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) in January 2019. Consequently, WADA's independent Compliance Review Committee (CRC) is recommending Russia be banned from hosting and competing in major international sports events for four years. This eventual ban will not affect Russia’s participation at the UEFA Euro 2020.
