UEFA Congress Re-elects Aleksander Čeferin as UEFA President


On 5 April 2023, the 47th UEFA Congress of Lisbon, Portugal, re-elected current UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin for an additional 4-year mandate until 2027. A day earlier, the UEFA Council meeting of 4 April 2023 decided to appoint Switzerland as the host association for the 2025 UEFA Women's Euro.

On 5 April 2023, Mr Čeferin was re-elected by acclamation for a new four-year term at the 47th Ordinary UEFA Congress in Lisbon. This 55-year-old Slovenian lawyer and former Chairman of the Slovenian Football Federation from 2011 to 2016 was elected as UEFA’s seventh President in September 2016, first re-elected in 2019, and then confirmed for a third term in office by acclamation of the delegates from...
