UEFA Forfeits Two Futsal National Teams after Regulatory Infringements


On 9 October 2023, the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (UEFA CEDB) announced that Georgia and Armenia’s national futsal representative teams had forfeited two matches due to regulatory infringements. A day later, on 10 October 2023, UEFA also decided to reschedule a UEFA EURO 2024 qualifier due to take place in Israel.

The UEFA CEDB decided to accept two protests lodged by the Portuguese Football Federation and the Football Association of Finland after their respective qualifying games for the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup against the futsal national teams of Georgia and Armenia.
