Vincent Labrune elected President of the French Football League

On 10 September 2020, Vincent Labrune was elected head of the French Professional Football League (LFP). He was ahead of Michel Denisot, long announced as the big favourite to succeed Nathalie Boy de la Tour.

The election of Vincent Labrune as President of the LFP marks a new period in the governance of French professional football. Hard-hit by the current health crisis, French football - through the LFP General Assembly - has decided to appoint the former president of Olympique de Marseille, and not Michel Denisot (15 votes to 10).
