World Cup 2006: FIFA Clears Three Football Officials
On 25 February 2021, the football world’s governing body issued a disciplinary decision concerning the case of three German football officials in connection with alleged wrongdoings prior to the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

The Adjudicatory Chamber of the FIFA Independent Ethics Committee decided on 25 February 2021 to clear Mr Franz Beckenbauer, Mr Theo Zwanziger and Mr Horst Rudolf Schmidt of all bribery charges in relation to the 2006 FIFA World Cup, which took place in Germany.
