In France, for the sake of the fair and regular running of sports competitions, the legislator has, for the past twenty years, intended to implement a financial control entity with an independent discretionary power, insuring the administrative, legal and financial control of clubs affiliated with the federations.
Hence, the French Football Federation (FFF), together with the Professional Football League (“Ligue de Football Professionnel” -LFP), set up, ever since the 1990/1991 season, a control entity named the “Direction Nationale de Contrôle de Gestion” (DNCG, i.e. National Board of Management Control).
The DNCG’s regulations are attached to the Convention between the FFF and the LFP in its annex.
