Introduction

An article related to the judicial bodies of the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) shall not ignore the current changes occurring inside the confederation. The “FIFA gate” deeply affected CONMEBOL, with the organization trying to react immediately by issuing its recent Circular Letter 6/15 dated 29 July 2015[1], “CONMEBOL´s reform process”. In it, the South American Confederation stated amongst other possible reforms the modification of the Ethics Code and the implementation of a “Financial Fair Play” system (which will probably demand a new control and decision body). Therefore, this piece might become rapidly outdated if the proposed changes are passed and implemented.
