FIFA Has Decided Not to Punish Valencia CF and Villarreal CF for the International Transfer of Minors
On 4 June 2019, FIFA informed both Valencia Club de Fútbol and Villarreal Club de Fútbol of the closure of the investigation procedure initiated in 2015 by the FIFA Transfer Matching Integrity and Compliance Department, the body responsible for ensuring compliance with the provisions and the proper use of the FIFA TMS, in relation to the possible violation of the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (the Regulations).

The launch of the investigation procedure, in connection with the possible application of Article 108 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code in the event of an infringement of the rules on the registration of minor foreign players, was due to an alleged breach of the following Articles of the Regulations:
