The Brussels Court of Appeal is not competent to hear of a dispute brought by a player’s agent on the legality of UEFA’s Club Licensing & Financial Fair Play Regulations as the damages suffered by the player’s agent, if any, are not direct and immediate.
Facts/Procedure
On 5 May 2013, Mr Striani, a football agent, lodged a claim before the European Commission, claiming that UEFA’s Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations (CLFFPR), in particular Articles 57 to 63, represented a breach of EU Law.
