Football Stakeholders Criticize New FIFA Competitions


After the 23rd FIFA Council adopted a series of changes to the men's International Match Calendar (IMC), several league stakeholders across the football family criticized these changes as they believed them to be unilateral and not the result of a proper consultation process. 

The 23rd FIFA Council of Kigali, Rwanda, adopted several key decisions, particularly about the IMCs for men’s and women’s competitions. These changes are summarized as follows.
