In October 2015, the Saudi Sport Arbitration Center (SSAC) was established by the decision of HH. Prince Abdullah Bin Musaed Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the President of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee. As the Secretary General of this new institution, could you explain to us why the SSAC has been created and what is its aim?
The SSAC is an independent body with its own legal entity created for the purpose of resolving sports disputes and sport-related disputes through arbitration and meditation.
On 23 October 2017, the SSAC headquarters were officially opened by His Excellency Mr. Turki Al Sheikh, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Sports Authority, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee.
