Introduction
The new FIFA Regulations on Working with Intermediaries (FIFA Regulations), approved in the context of FIFA’s Executive Committee meeting held on 21 March 2014[1], has come into force on 1 April 2015. These new FIFA Regulations replace the Players’ Agents Regulations (2008) and represent a paradigm shift of the system in place up to date.
One of the novelties of this new regime is the change of the supervision “actors”. De facto, from now on it will be up to the National Football Associations to implement and enforce (at least[2]) the minimum standards foreseen in the FIFA Regulations by adopting internal regulations incorporating the principles set out by FIFA.
