Panamanian Football on Strike


On 11 April 2022, the Panamanian Footballers Association (Asociación de Futbolistas de Panamá - AFUTPA) announced that Panamanian footballers would go on strike if the league and clubs did not start negotiations for a collective bargaining agreement as stipulated by Panamanian legal institutions. FIFPRO fully supports the Panamanian union.

The AFUTPA and its union members are looking to clarify the labor relationship between footballers and employer clubs in the country.
