TAS 2025/A/11163 Seidou Mbombo Njoya c. Confédération Africaine de Football

Date of the decision: 2025-06-19
Arbitrator(s): Bernhard Welten
In this award, the Court of Arbitration for Sport dismissed the appeal lodged by Seidou Mbombo Njoya on procedural grounds. The Panel found that the appeal was inadmissible because it was directed solely against the resolution of the CAF Governance Committee, which holds only advisory powers under the CAF Statutes. The final decision on candidacies, adopted by the CAF Executive Committee, was not contested within the time limit. Consequently, the CAS declared the appeal inadmissible.
