In cases governed by Article 17 of FIFA Regulations on Status and Transfer of Players (FIFA RSTP), we are used to respective breaches of contract leading to the termination of a contract with the consequence that the party that is responsible for the contract (be it the party declaring a termination in the absence of a just cause or the other party that culpably caused the termination) is liable to pay a compensation to the other party.
