The German Civil Code
The German Civil Code requires that contracts of minors (under 18) must be signed and approved by their parents. Since employment contracts are of substantial importance in general, the signature of both parents is required. As an exception to this principle, Paragraph 113 of the German Civil Code provides that once the parents have empowered a minor to enter into a certain kind of employment contract, the minor himself is legally capable to deal with all other aspects of this employment contract himself.
In order to avoid any misunderstanding, this does not mean that if a minor signs a contract with Club A at the age of 16 with the consent of his parents, he may sign an employment contract with Club B without the consent of his parents, even if the terms of this subsequent contract are equivalent to...
