FIFA Appeals Yves Jean-Bart CAS Award Before Swiss Federal Tribunal


On 20 March 2023, FIFA announced it would appeal the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) award on the Yves Jean-Bart case before the Swiss Federal Tribunal. It should be noted that CAS set aside the decision of the FIFA Ethics Committee due to evidentiary inconsistencies.

On 25 May 2020, the Investigatory Chamber of the FIFA Ethics Committee provisionally banned Mr Yves Jean-Bart - the man who led the HFF for more than 20 years and served as acting President of the Caribbean Football Union in 2011 - for 90 days from taking part in all football-related activities. The ban was
