On 30 April 2021, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee sanctioned French sides Paris FC and Angers SCO as they were deemed to have breached the relevant FIFA Regulations concerning bridge transfers. However, FIFA suspended the execution of the decision shortly afterward until the grounds were published on 31 May 2021.
French football clubs Paris FC (Ligue 2) and Angers SCO (Ligue 1) were issued a CHF 30,000 fine (approx. EUR 27,500). Additionally, both clubs were sanctioned with a transfer ban, at both national and international levels, for one registration period for breaching Article 5bis of the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (FIFA RSTP - provisions on bridge transfers).
