On 25 January 2017, the Local Court of Nürnberg rejected the claim of three supporters of Eintracht Braunschweig, who have been sanctioned by a nationwide stadium ban by FC Nürnberg based on the following facts.

1. The three supporters were part of a group of about 80 people who met in Nürnberg, where their team - Eintracht Braunschweig - had a match on the respective day.

There were rumors that they intended to meet with home supporters in order to fight. Accordingly, police stopped them and - after detecting various weapons - arrested the whole group.

Later on, a judge - as legally required - confirmed the arrest to be legal and necessary in order to maintain security and avoid a fight. Upon their appeal, the...
